Avenor Research | Expert network | New York
How Allreach took Avenor Research from zero replies to its biggest client of the year
Allreach ran Avenor Research’s outbound program from November 2025.
About Avenor Research
Avenor Research is an expert network based in New York. Instead of sending clients dozens of database profiles, it recruits experts for each project and screens every one by phone, so clients receive a short list of people who fit. Its buyers are consulting firms, private equity deal teams and market research teams, most of which already work with larger networks.
The challenge
“We were sending hundreds of emails every single week and we weren’t getting a single response, not even a no.”
Jack SassonCEO and Founder, Avenor Research
Before working with Allreach, Jack ran sales, operations and product development at Avenor himself. Outbound was the part that did not work: emails went out every week, but they were not reaching inboxes, and weeks passed without a single reply, positive or negative.
Jack and Ivan had met before Allreach was founded. When they reconnected, Avenor brought Allreach in to set up and run its outbound.
Strategy and execution
Buyer segments
Allreach mapped four groups that buy expert calls: consulting firms, private equity deal teams, market research and panel teams, and healthcare and pharma consultancies. Each group got its own list and its own sequence.
Sending infrastructure and deliverability
Avenor’s earlier emails were not reaching inboxes. Outreach moved to 20 dedicated mailboxes on separate domains, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured and spam placement monitored.
Messaging for each buyer group
Every sequence was signed by Jack and built around problems expert-network buyers already have: recycled experts, dozens of profiles to sift, and screening answers written with AI. Avenor was positioned as the screened backup network, not a replacement.
Signal-based campaigns
Two campaigns ran on buying signals: people who follow a competing expert network on LinkedIn, and people a few months into a new role, when vendors tend to be re-evaluated. Each list was enriched with the signal it was built on.
In-person meetings in New York
A short campaign invited consulting and research firms in New York to meet Jack in person, for coffee or 15 minutes at their office.
Reply handling and reporting
Replies were handled for Jack, and every booked meeting was logged with its campaign and the outcome of the call. Weekly reports covered sends, replies and meetings, so the next round of campaigns could be adjusted.
“It’s easy for a company like Avenor to write our messaging, but it’s hard for us to get it in front of our prospects, and that’s what you guys really specialize in.”
Jack SassonCEO and Founder, Avenor Research
Lessons learned
Expert-network buyers are a small, well-defined market, and most already work with one or more large networks. The campaigns therefore did not ask them to switch. They offered Avenor as the screened backup for projects where the usual experts fall short.
Fix deliverability before rewriting copy
Once sending was rebuilt, replies started within two to three weeks, after months with none.
Use competitor followers as a signal
Half of the booked meetings came from people who follow a competing expert network on LinkedIn.
Write one sequence per buyer group
Consulting, private equity, market research and healthcare buyers each had their own problems and wording, so each had its own sequence.
Offer to meet in person
Firms in New York were invited to meet the founder for coffee rather than book another video call.

The client that came from one campaign
“Our biggest client this year came from you guys. He’s one of our favorite clients, one that we’re very close with, and that wouldn’t have started without Allreach’s help.”
Jack SassonCEO and Founder, Avenor Research
In January, the campaign aimed at research and consulting firms reached the principal of a US life-sciences consulting practice. The first call became Avenor’s largest client relationship of the year, and in Jack’s words one of its closest.
Who took a meeting
“They’re not even asking me. I’m recommending before they even ask.”
